Consultia Business Travel reinforces its management team and its workforce to keep growing

  • The company has increased its workforce by 30% with the recruitment of various business travel professionals.

  • The company incorporates a new financial director and an HR director to optimise business management.

Madrid, 11 October 2022 – The Spanish company specialised in business travel management, Consultia Business Travel, has added new professionals to its team. With the new hires Consultia increases its workforce by more than 30% to offer a better service, expand business and continue to grow. Among the professional profiles that Consultia has incorporated to reinforce the different areas of the company are business travel managers; software developers; sales representatives for large accounts in the travel and operations sector; and managers for the HR and finance area.

Consultia Business Travel, which began its international expansion in October 2020 by opening its first office in Oporto, has recently strengthened its presence in Portugal with four new professionals who have joined its delegation made up of executives and business travel managers.

For Carlos Martínez, CEO of the company, “at a time when corporate travel is picking up again, reinforcing the workforce is a sign of confidence and a commitment to the future of our company. We want to provide the best possible service to our customers and that means having the best professionals”.

Consultia Business Travel was founded in 2010 with a team that has grown with the company and evolved with it. With the new incorporations, it now has a total of 56 employees in Spain, professionals with more than 25 years of experience in the sector and engineers specialised in the development of the most cutting-edge and innovative technology on the market. The company has a low workforce turnover rate, which speaks of the involvement of all those who work in the company with the project.

Good prospects for the future.

Consultia Business Travel has opted to expand its workforce after having managed to retain 100% of its employees and overcome the ERTE (temporary lay-off plan) that it had to apply when it was affected by the slowdown in corporate travel and the restrictions on mobility resulting from the pandemic. Now the outlook for corporate travel has changed and forecasts for this year are optimistic, with demand expected to soar by 38% globally and corporate travel spend expected to reach $1 trillion. With the launch of Destinux, Consultia has billed 40% above 2019 and plans to do so by 300% over 2021.

We must be prepared to respond to this new scenario,” says Juan Manuel Baixauli, founder of the company, “with the pandemic the business travel sector has changed, now customers have become much more demanding, they are looking for a more professional and digital management with a comprehensive view of all the elements that make up the overall development of a corporate trip. This means a radical change in the business model that requires appropriate technological solutions to meet the high demand of the sector and its needs”.

Thanks to Destinux’s unique technology, it is possible to digitalize and automate the management of corporate travel, achieving savings of up to 20%. A SaaS Cloud-based solution (cloud-based software as a service) that allows you to manage everything from bookings to expense accounts in one click and even enjoy the exclusive service of a workforce Travel Assistant. In addition, it aligns the budget with the company’s objectives and monitors in real time its execution and compliance with budget policies.
