Consultia Business Travel launches Destinux Green, a new functionality that allows companies to offset their carbon footprint

Madrid, 19 October 2022 – Consultia Business Travel, a Spanish company specialized in the comprehensive management of business travel, has just launched Destinux Green, a feature of its Destinux technology platform that provides companies with accredited offsetting of the carbon footprint they generate.

Destinux Green allows companies to obtain a traceable certificate or carbon footprint offset and companies that offset all the carbon emissions they have generated during a year obtain the “Destinux Green” seal issued by Destinux.

In this way, Destinux becomes the first platform for corporate travel management with which a company can verify, offset its carbon footprint and obtain the certificate with just one click. Destinux Green also allows CO2 offsetting through participation in a selection of environmental and social responsibility projects from which the company can choose.

Destinux Green improves the image of an organisation in the eyes of its customers, users and consumers; it saves costs and increases employee motivation with environmental commitments. The application, exclusive to Destinux, has been developed with ClimateTrade and uses blockchain technology, which brings transparency to the entire carbon offsetting process, generating trust and ensuring the real impact of carbon offsetting activities. At the conclusion of a transaction, an offset certificate is issued with information about the chosen project and a traceable blockchain key, as well as the official certificate of cancellation of credits in its corresponding registry.
