Madrid, 1 December 2022 – The Spanish company specialised in the comprehensive management of business travel, Consultia Business Travel, has reached an agreement with iryo, Spain’s leading private high-speed rail operator, to offer its services through its technology platform Destinux.

With this incorporation, Destinux becomes the first ERP to offer an online booking system for iryo’s new high-speed offer to its clients. Destinux is the business travel management solution that automates business travel in a comprehensive, efficient and sustainable way, supervising in real time the compliance with spending policies, eliminating management fees and saving costs for companies without neglecting the human touch by providing a Personal Travel Assistant service.

With the integration of iryo in Destinux, Consultia Business Travel wants to continue expanding and improving the service it offers to gain in efficiency and sustainability. In the words of Carlos Martínez, CEO of Consultia Business Travel, “We are very satisfied with this alliance that allows us to make available to our corporate clients the new high-speed offer that iryo provides. With Destinux, the business traveller has access in a visual, fast and intuitive way to all fares, schedules and other aspects related to their high-speed travel and can make all the necessary reservations and arrangements for their corporate transfers in a quick and easy way. Our customers deserve a high quality experience like the one offered by iryo and at Destinux we strive to be at the forefront and respond to the new needs of corporations that travel, providing them with the tools that allow them to optimise everything related to travel management to be more efficient, more sustainable, more strategic and able to meet their objectives”.

For Juanjo Quesada, Head of Distribution at iryo, “announcing the addition of Destinux to our partnership network is fantastic news, which allows us to continue to reach the business traveller through a platform with which we share values, purpose and objectives. At iryo we aim to revolutionise the mobility sector with a proposition based on personalisation and the travel experience. We want to be the natural choice for business and leisure travellers, adapting to the needs of each traveller”.

Thanks to this partnership, Destinux offers business travellers a personalised, multimodal, flexible and sustainable offer that provides the best corporate travel experience offered by iryo. The new High Speed service, which began its commercial operations on 25 November, is born with a unique travel proposal in the railway market for business travel, with Infinita, Singular Only YOU and Singular classes specifically for this segment, offering on board desks to work, individual sockets and USB connectors and a quality gastronomic proposal under its brand Haizea. In addition, with a firm commitment to punctuality and the possibility of arriving at the destination early in the morning, it offers these travellers spaces to work and rest in its Casas iryo located in the stations.

Efficiency, security, personalised service and sustainability

Iryo’s proposal fits perfectly with the strategic values of efficiency, security and personalised service that govern Consultia and, above all, with sustainability, one of its fundamental pillars. Destinux is the first platform for corporate travel management with which a company can verify, offset the carbon footprint it generates and obtain the official and approved certificate with just one click through its new solution, Destinux Green. The functionality, exclusive to Destinux, uses blockchain technology, which brings transparency to the entire offsetting process, generating trust and ensuring the real impact of carbon offsetting activities.

This commitment to sustainability is shared by iryo, which offers companies and travellers the option of neutralising the carbon footprint of corporate travel stays through its Green add-on. Thanks to this, iryo plants a forest together with Retree in different areas of the country, reducing CO₂ in the atmosphere and integrating reforestation with digitalization in a single tool, and providing companies with green certificates detailing the carbon dioxide saved and offset by contracting iryo’s services, which they can include in their annual balance sheet.
